Spiced Pork Chops

The Spiced Pork Chops have a very rich and bold flavor. With the deep flavor of the cloves and zing from the cider vinegar. It is best paired with some light, maybe creamy side dishes.

Spiced Pork Chops


6 loin pork chops

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Garlic powder to taste

1 Tbl. butter


¾ c. apple juice or cider

¼ c. cider vinegar

2 Tbl. brown sugar

1-½ tsp. molasses

½ tsp. ground cloves

1-½ tsp dry mustard

1-½ tsp. ginger


Season chops lightly with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Brown chops in butter in skillet on both sides. In a separate bowl, combine sauce ingredients. Add sauce ingredients to the skillet. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Remove cover: simmer until sauce thickens. Do not let burn.



  • Chops may be grilled outdoors and finished off in simmered sauce.
