The 4th of July is upon us again! I am wearing my red, white and blue clothes while making red, white and blue salads! This is a great, cool, layered treat for your 4th of July get together!
Red, White & Blue Salad
1 pkg. raspberry jello
2 cup hot water
¼ tsp. blueberry flavor
Add raspberry jello to hot water and stir till dissolved. Pour into a 9×13 in. pan and chill till firm.
1 envelope plain gelatin 1 cup sugar
½ cup cold water 1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup half and half 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese – soft
½ cup chopped nuts
In a medium bowl, soften the gelatin in the cold water. In a pan heat the half and half and sugar until hot but not boiling. Place all ingredients in a bowl, expect the nuts, and blend until smooth. Stir in nuts. Cool. Pour over the first layer and chill until firm.
1 pkg. raspberry jello 1 -15 oz. can blueberries
1 cup hot water ¼ tsp. blueberry flavor
Dissolve the gelatin in the hot water. Pour in the entire can of blueberries, including the juice, and flavoring. Cool. Pour over the 2nd layer and chill. Cut into squares and serve.
