It gave me some good ideas for a healthy snack as well. You could dip bananas in Greek yogurt and sprinkle with granola for a cool treat during the summer.
In our lesson tying together our snack we learned that our hearts are healthy when we wisely follow God’s word all the days of our lives! Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
Heart-Smart Banana Bites
32 oz. vanilla yogurt
5-6 Tbl. colorful sprinkles (1/4 tsp per banana bite)
60 Craft sticks
Peel the bananas and cut into pour pieces each. Insert a craft stick or mini craft stick into each banana piece. Place on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Freeze for several hours. Take out the frozen bananas and carefully peel off the waxed paper. Dip each banana into vanilla yogurt, scraping off excess yogurt. Shake on sprinkles. Place back on waxed paper and freeze. Remove carefully shortly before serving.
